Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, minced chipotle peppers in adobo, lime juice, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.
- Brush the chipotle honey glaze generously over the tops and sides of each salmon fillet, reserving a small amount of glaze if you’d like extra for serving.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your desired doneness.
- For extra caramelization, switch the oven to broil for the last 1–2 minutes of cooking. Watch closely to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with lime zest, chopped cilantro, and sesame seeds if desired. Serve warm with your favorite sides.
Notes
This Chipotle Honey Glazed Salmon is delicious served with rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad. Adjust the amount of chipotle peppers to control the heat level, and double the glaze if you’d like extra sauce for drizzling.
